The dreaded big ―C word CANCER.

Most of you have known someone who has battled cancer and won or lost. Most of our lives have been touched by this disease.


On June 11 Spirit of Faith Church will once again participate in the annual Relay For Life held by the American Cancer society. It will be a fun night for all and yet more importantly honor all those who have survived this dreadful disease and those who have not.

Spirit of Faith's Support

Spirit of Faith provides support during the Relay for Life in several ways:

  • We sponsor several teams.

 

  • The Spirit of Faith Choir provides inspirational music at the event.

 

  • We provide a large tent in the church corner.
    • Come by and help us provide encouragement and support to cancer survivors and their loved ones.

 

About Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length.

 

When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something's suffered damage and has a history it be-comes more beautiful.
